Former Nick Fallon, Blake Berris, will be making a guest appearance on the CBS series, "The Mentalist" on Tuesday, April 7. Berris will be playing an actor in the episode which details the investigation of a movie producer's murder.

Ali Sweeney Takes the Challenge!
Beginning on April 14, Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady) will be adding another exciting adventure to her resume. The actress and reality TV show host will be participating in the inauguration of EA SPORTS Active 30 Day Challenge. The event will be taking place at a resort and spa in Santa Barbara with fitness trainer, Bob Greene. As Alison and the other participants learn about fitness and nutrition, they'll be blogging and twittering to provide journals of their time in the program. Get more on this story here.

Days Alum Krista Allen is Back at NBC with a New Series!

Krista Allen will be a familiar face to many long time viewers of Days of Our Lives, since she played Billie Reed from 1996-1999. The highly in-demand actress has become a staple of Primetime TV since she left the show to pursue other things and has now landed on NBC's upcoming series "The Philanthropist." Although he only recently started to play Rafe, the unfortunate FBI agent assigned to protect Sami, Days Galen Gering already has another gig lined up. The actor has a guest-starring role on a Primetime TV series that will see him stretching his talents in new ways.

New Projects for Former Days Star Patrika Darbo.
We havent seen Patrika Darbo, the woman who plays diva Chloe's mother, for quite awhile, but that doesn't mean that you can't catch the actress elsewhere on the TV dial. Former Days Star Billy Hufsey in New Reality TV Series!
From 1988 to 1990, Billy Hufsey played Days' Emilio Ramirez, gang member turned Kiriakis grounds keeper. Like all soap grounds keepers, he really had a way with the ladies. He had affairs with Adrienne Kiriakis, Jennifer Horton and Melissa Jannings during his stint in Salem. But the heartthrob had a darker side too... Two decades later, Hufsey will join six other former teen idols from the 80s and 90s as they live together and recall their past on the new reality show, "Confessions of a Teen Idol". Days alum Star Gloria Loring Headlines "TV Tunez Live".
Former Days star Gloria Loring makes a nostalgic return to performing. You may remember her best as Liz Chandler, a role which she played from 1980- 1986, or you may know her from the ten albums she's recorded, or the fact that she is the mother of music star Robin Thicke. Even if you don't know her for any of that, you may very likely recognize some of the famous theme tunes that she's written for TV series over the years. Whether it's her memorable theme for the "Facts of Life," or the theme for "Different Strokes" her music sensibility has likely touched your life in some way. Deidre Hall visits Bonny Hunt!
Deidre Hall (Marlena) is set to appear on "The Bonnie Hunt Show" on Thursday, October 16 and she'll be doing more than chatting up Bonnie Hunt! The onscreen doc will take a personality test with Dr. Pepper Schwartz, who is a Professor of Sociology and author, so it should get interesting. The syndicated talk show is on NBC, but check listing for local airtimes.

Darin Brooks is helping Tag the World!
Darin Brooks (Max) is doing his part to save the world, one dog tag at a time. He's on the honorary board of advisors for Tag the World, an organization that supports five different causes through the promotion and sale of dog-tag style necklaces. Proceeds go to charities for animals, cancer, children, global green efforts and Africa and with several charities associated with each cause, you'll have the opportunity to choose which charity your purchase will support. The organization was founded by Robert Parks Valletta (ex-Dan Hall, Days; and ex-Plum, The Young & the Restless) and its sterling-silver tags are designed by Michael Barin. Tag the World necklaces are already available at Michael Barin Inc. in Studio City, California and will be available on the Tag the World website after it launches this Thursday October 16.

Ali Sweeney works the talk show circuit!
Busy Ali Sweeney is hitting the talk show circuit, starting with an appearance on "The Bonnie Hunt Show" on Monday, October 13, on NBC. Then you can catch her on late night talk show "Chelsea Lately" on Monday, October 20 at 11:30 PM EST on E! Check listings for times, channels and repeat info! As previously reported, she'll also be partying with Generation Huggies.

With a new sitcom set for 2009, Eric Winters visits "The Ex List"!
Eric Winters (ex-Rex) is getting physical on CBS' "The Ex List"! He'll play an ex on Friday October 10, 2008 at 9:00 PM EST and you can catch a preview clip of his appearance here!

For those who haven't heard about Winter's ABC winter comedy "Single with Parents" yet: the Days alum has also landed the role of Charlie in this sitcom about a single girl in her mid-30s who is struggling to balance the needs of her divorced, overly attached parents with her own love life. The all star castincludes Beau Bridges ("Stargate SG-1", "My Name is Earl", Annie Potts ("Designing Women", "Any Day Now") and Alyssa Milano ("Who's the Boss", "Charmed"). The show is set to premier in early 2009.

Judi Evans new sales job!
Think soap actors are immune from the rise and fall of the economy? Thinks again! Just last year, Judi Evans was a Daytime Emmy nominee for her performance as Adrienne Johnson Kiriakis, but now the veteran daytimer has been forced to make a startling career move - selling cemetery plots at Rose Hills Memorial Park in California! Mark Valley is back in the Fringe!
Fans who caught the premier of "Fringe" may have noticed a familiar face. Mark Valley, who played Jack Deveraux from 1994-1997, kicked off the new show as the love interest, but things soon took a dark and ugly turn for the hunk. Not only did he come close to death, with a frightening side affect being his skin going transparent, but once he was saved and had his pretty face back, it was revealed he's working for the bad guys... and then he was killed! Of course, with a show dedicated to science this "Fringe", the next episodes showed him being kept alive by someone and his character was officially raised from the dead at the end of the October 2 episode. He's been back again several times, but with his character proven good and the love story resolved, this may be the end of the road for him. We'll have to wait for the show's April 09 return to be sure.

Just try to keep up with Ashley Benson!
Days' Ashley Benson's (Abby) is getting hard to keep up with! Now she's landed the guest gig as Tracy in the October 30th episode of the hit CW series "Supernatural"! As previously reported, she'll also be playing "Amy" on the Monday, October 20 episode of "CSI: Miami" on CBS'; and she's is in the new issue of X-Men Origins: Jean Grey. In the comic, Ashley is seen as a teenage Jean Grey. We hear she had a good time working on this project, and all you fans can pick up the issue!

Mary Beth Evans Goes Primetime!
Catch a glimpse of Mary Beth (Kayla) on NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She portrays Dr. Eichenberry on September 27 at 10:00 PM EST, on NBC.


Tamara Braun's to All My Children!
If you've been missing Tamara Braun since Ava skipped town, you may have to take in some All My Children! With Eden Riegel set to return as her groundbreaking character Bianca, Braun has been tapped to play Bianca's girlfriend, Reese, who has been living with Bianca in Paris. Alison Sweeney kicks off another season of Biggest Loser!
With another season of The Biggest Loser set to premier Tuesday, September 16, Alison Sweeney is back to her hosting duties. While the expectant mom works on growing her own family (as seen in this July photo of her baby bump!), the contestants will be working on shrinking theirs: Each team will consist of two family members over the age of 18 years old.

Days' Earl goes prime on NBC's "
Ricky Dean Logan (ex-Earl) will guest star opposite funny girl Jenna Elfman on the season premier of NBC's "My Name is Earl".  The episode is expected to air September 25, but check listings to confirm show time! 


Jensen Ackles goes 3-D on the big screen!
Days alum Jensen Ackles, who once played Sami's twin Eric, has been tapped for a role in the 3-D remake of of the 1981 horror flick, "My Bloody Valentine." He'll star alongside Jaime King ("Sin City", "Pearl Harbor") and Kerr Smith ("Dawsons Creek", "Charmed") as Tom, who ten years prior inadvertently caused a coal mining accident that killed five people and sent the only survivor, Harry, into a coma. Upon waking from his coma one year later on Valentine's Day, Harry went on a rampage killing twenty-two people in the process. A decade later, Tom returns to his hometown to lay his guilt to rest, but finds himself facing a killer in a miner's mask with a pickaxe instead. The screamer is due out January, 2009. In the meantime, you can catch him on The CW's Supernatural, which is back for it's 4th season. You can also pre-order season 3 from Amazon.com.

For those who haven't seen the recent Burger King commercials, you'll want to keep an eye out for Days' Arianne Zucker (Nicole), as she's been spotted in the latest one!

Jamie Chung goes Samurai Girl!
Jamie Chung (ex-Cordy), who left days with the Ford Decker storyline, has a new mini-series set to air on ABC Family. She plays the show's title character and Samurai Girl "Heaven", who must learn to balance the lessons of her wealthy adoptive home, the traditions of her ancestors and her role in both worlds. The six-hour mini-series also stars, Brendan Fear ("Roswell", "CSI: Miami") and Stacy Keibler (Dancing with the Stars) and will air September 5-7, 8:00 PM EST on ABC Family. If the show attracts enough attention, it may become a regular series!

With Abe and Lexie's son Theo being diagnosed with autism on Days, "The Today Show" welcomed actors Renee Jones, James Reynolds and Days headwriter Dena Higley to discuss their groundbreaking storyline and why it's personal to them. ATWT has snapped up Julie Pinson (ex-Billie, DAYS; ex-Shiloh, Y&R; ex-Eve, PC)  for the mysterious recurring role of Janet Ciccone. She first airs May 8.

Austin Peck (ex Austin) stared in an independent movie a few years back called "Dating Games People Play." The movie has finally been released on DVD and is now available to buy or rent.

As her character suggested an affair and then hired the husband as an architect, it seems the role may be recurring.

Jensen Ackles (ex Eric) remains to this day a fan favorite by many. Currently he's staring on the WB's "Supernatural." Here are a few updates on this actor. First, Stardoll.com has added a Jensen Ackles dress up doll to their site, which you can dress up here.

Second, at a "Supernatural" convention this past November, Jensen was asked if he'd ever consider returning to Days. Jensen revealed that he received a call last year to appear in a short cameo and was willing, but it couldn't be done due to his schedule at the time. When asked if he'd ever return to days he said there were no current plans, but "never say never!"

Robert Mailhouse (ex Brian Scofield) stars in the Hallmark Channel movie "All I Want For Christmas" which will air this coming Friday at 9pm on the Hallmark Channel. For additional airtimes check Hallmark Channel

Additionally the channel is also showing an older movie "A Boyfriend for Christmas" which features Patrick Muldoon (ex Austin Reed).

Allison Sweeney (Sami) will host an all new season of NBC's "The Biggest Loser" beginning in January where couples will compete against each other.

Sadly Eric Winter (Ex Rex) new show "Viva Laughlin" was canceled after only two episodes. However his fans shouldn't be too sad, as this now leaves it open for him to return to "Brothers and Sisters" as Jason McAllister. Nothing official has yet been announced, but the door was left open for his return when his character left the show.

This Sunday, October 28th, SoapNet is showing three hours of classic "Days" beginning at 9pm EST. To celebrate Halloween they are showing some classic episodes from Marlena's possession storyline!

Eric Winter (Ex Rex) will appear on the season premier of ABC's "Brother and Sisters" as Jason McCallister on September 30th. Whether Eric's character will return later on in the show will depend on how his new CBS show "Viva Laughlin" does. "Viva Lauglin" premiers on October 18th on CBS.

TMZ and other media outlets have reported that last Friday, Kirsten Storms (ex Belle) was arrested on a DUI charge. Fortunately nobody was hurt and there were no accidents. Hopefully Kirsten will never make this mistake again, and hopefully it will serve as a reminder to anyone out there who in the future even considers drinking and driving NOT to do it!

Jesse Metcalfe (ex Miguel, Passions) will return to Desperate Housewives as John Rawlings for an episode in the coming season. He'll be joined by Michelle Pierce (recently seen as Jenna Powers on Days) who plays Tammy Sinclaire, his new wife!

Shelley Hennig (Stephanie) joins a celebrity panel of judges, including Joey Lawrence and Mellisa Joan Hart, at the 25th Annual Miss Teen USA Pageant. The pageant will air on NBC on August 24th at 8pm.

Jason Brooks (ex Peter Blake) appeared on a recent episode of TNT's "The Closer." The episode should repeat sometime in the future as it was a first run.

August 14 -
Tonight "I Wanna Be A Soap Star" debuted on SoapNet. Once I get a sub page set up for it, I'll be providing weekly recaps/updates as to what is going on with the show. For those not aware, this season on the reality show the winner will win a 13 week role on "Days of Our Lives" and the winner will, for the first time, be chosen by the audience!

Hogan Sheffer (head writer) and Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Brady Johnson) are judges in the competition along with daytime manager Michael Bruno. Cameron Matheson from AMC is the host.

Tonight's premier episode mainly served to introduce the audition process, the narrowing down of contestants and finally the introduction of the final 10 contestants. The final 10 must live together in close sleeping quarters, sleep in bunk beds, share one bathroom and a small kitchen! 

This season on the show the contestants will be put through the ringer, including doing scenes with stars from "Days!" The previews for the season included the following teaser scenes.

Blake Berris (Nick) and Rachel Melvin (Chelsea) as life guards at the beach in some kind of "Baywatch" type scene.

John Aniston (Victor) and Victor Webster (Ex Nicholas Alamain) have parts in the new Sci-Fi channel original movie "Sands of Oblivion." Sci-Fi tends to show their movies often throughout the month after they debut. They are also released on DVD in an extend "uncut" version within a few weeks usually.

update: Eric Winter (Ex Rex) is a cast member of the new CBS show "Viva Laughlin." In the show Eric will play Peter Carlyle. The show will have a special preview on Thursday, October 18th at 10pm and will regularly air Sundays beginning on Sunday, October 21st at 8pm. You can find out a bit more about the show at here.

Marcus Patrick (Jett Carver) appears in the upcoming thriller "Descent" with Rosario Dawson and Chad Faust. The movie opens on August 10th

Patrika Darbo (Ex Nancy) has a role in the upcoming horror film "Hatchet." The movie was originally scheduled to be released last Halloween, bumped to April 2007 and now is set for release in September 2007. The movie has had to undergo edits due to the dreaded NC-17 rating for violence.

Eric Von Detten, who many may remember as a child Nikki Alamain, appeared in the Lifetime original movie "Girl Positive" last night. The movie also stars Andrea Bowen (Desperate Housewives) and Jennie Garth (90210). The movie will rerun on Sunday, July 1st at 6pm on Lifetime.

These are blooper shows featuring clips from NBC shows and news programs. Many often feature "Days" and "Passions" outtakes. Note: Each episode is a repeat, having aired at some previous time.

Many of you have written in about Hope's earrings and jewelry lately, especially since Sami was wearing a pair of similar earrings in New Orleans. The symbol on them is the Fleur De Lis. Sami was wearing them because the symbol is found in ironwork all over New Orleans, especially in the French Quarter. The earrings can be purchased from Hope Faith Miracles, which is Kristian Alfonso's (Hope's) line.

Brandon Beemer and Martha Madison (Shawn and Belle) will be presenters at the 34th annual Daytime Emmy Awards, airing on CBS on June 15th from 9-11pm EST. You can also catch Austin Peck (Ex Austin) and Kyle Lowder (Ex Brady) presenting at the show as well.

Tracey Middendorf (Ex Carrie, the years Christie Clark left) guest stars as Bonnie on the 2 hour season finale of ABC's "Lost" this Wednesday.

Farah Fath (Ex Mimi) posted on her myspace site that she is joining the ABC soap "One Life To Live." The show is writing a part just for her and she has a multi-year contract. Congrats to Farah!

This is "Upfront Week" for the television industry. It is when the networks announce their new schedules and shows for the 2007-08 season. Tomorrow CBS is set to reveal their schedule, but early word has it one of the shows they've picked up is "Viva Laughlin." The show is a musical comedy/drama about a man in Laughlin, Nevada who dreams of opening a casino. It's inspired by the BBC show "Viva Blackpool." Eric Winter (ex Rex) appears in the pilot for the episode. It's unknown if his part will be recurring through the series or not.

On Saturday, May 12th, Alison Sweeney (Sami) hosts a mother's day marathon on SoapNet called "You Got A Mother Thing Coming." The marathon runs from 9am to 12pm and features three Sami and Lucas episodes. The first will be the classic 1995 episode in which Sami and Lucas made love for the first time! The other episodes include Lucas ruining Sami and Austin's Las Vegas wedding (March 29th, 2002) and Lucas and Sami going on air after thinking Will had been kidnapped (September 29th, 2006).

First up not only will Lisa be appearing as Roxie Heart on Broadway's "Chicago," but she's in the national tour! The tour makes stops in Portland, Oregon at the Keller Auditorium from May 29th through June 3rd and at the Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas from June 5th through June 17th.

Additionally Lisa has announced that she's signed a multi-year deal with the TVGuide Channel to host their red carpet events! She'll make her debut at the 2007 Emmy Awards on September 16th. Congrats to Lisa!

Lisa Rinna (the original Billie Reed) made her debut tonight as Roxie Heart on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars." Lisa will appear as Roxie Heart along side husband Harry Hamlin as Billie Flynn in the Broadway Musical "Chicago!" Their run will be from June 19th through July 29th at the Ambassador Theater in New York.

At Jay Kenneth Johnson's (Philip's) appearance this weekend it was revealed he has filmed another episode of NBC's "Scrubs" on which he plays the recurring Dr. Matthews. The show should air within the next month. Also later this year you can catch him in the horror flick "Hack."

Days has lost another family member unfortunately. Edward Mallory, who originated the role of Bill Horton, passed away on April 4th after battling a long undisclosed illness. He is survived by his son Ethan Mallory Asher and wife Suzanne Zenor. Our condolences go out to his  family members.

Kristian Alfonso (Hope) has been working on a reality show project, tentatively titled "Soap Mom." A promo for it has been posted on YouTube is reporting that Billy Warlock (ex Frankie Brady) is set to join the "Young and the Restless" on May 7th.

Last night fans of "Days" and "The Tonight Show" got a treat during one of Jay's segments. During a skit called "Pumpcast" the crew was filming people getting gas and apparently filmed Rachel Melvin (Chelsea). Rachel's name was never stated and it was not officially confirmed it was her, though many of you immediately recognized the star, who was on her way to get her dog from the groomers. She kindly later return to show off her pooch. If this wasn't Rachel who was on the show then she apparently has a doppelganger walking around LA.

Hawk was friends with Jason, who was Jan Spear's high school boyfriend.  This is not the same Hawk from the Jack and Jen storyline in the 90s.
