Danny was Paul and Helen Grant's son, and Valerie's brother, and worked at his father's diner.

In 1982 Danny was tricked by Orby Jensen into making drug deliveries for him, who was working for Alex Marshall.
In 1985 Danny was murdered by the crooked police chief Richard Cates.

When Nick ordered Valerie to pick up the money she refused and knocked Nick out. She picked up the money from Julie and gave it to David so he could escape from Salem.
