Ian Griffith was Melissa Anderson's parole office in 1985. Melissa and Ian soon began to have an affair, but Melissa backed away when she learned he was married. Ian became obsessed with Melissa, and began raping the women of Salem. When he attempted to rape Melissa she saw his face for a brief second. Eventually Melissa realized her attacker was Ian, and turned him in to the police.
