Comings and Goings
Comings
new! Daytime's resident baddy
Roscoe Born is coming to Days! With his new character Dean Robbins
connected to someone already on the canvas, it doesn't take a genius to
imagine trouble is on it's way to Salem. Then
again, a good guy role might be a nice
change of pace for the actor, who last tortured Luis as Passions prison warden
and The Baldwin-Fisher clan as Gloria's ex and Kevin's dad on The Young and the
Restless.
Bryan Dattilo is back at
work. He began taping Monday, April 21 and will first air as Lucas May 19!
Ava's
shady father is coming to Days!
Joe Penny has been cast in the role of Martino Vitali and will first air
May 2nd. Fan can expect big things from this veteran actor, who starred in
such series as "Riptide," "Jake and the Fatman," and most recently, the Hallmark
Channel's "Jane Doe" with Lea Thompson. If you haven't caught him in those,
you'll likely still recognize him from a long list of impressive guest gigs
including, "CSI," "The Sopranos," "Walker Texas Ranger," "Touched by an Angel"
and "T.J. Hooker."
Ross "The Intern" Matthews, from the Jay Leno show, will be coming to
DAYS May 14, as Chris. He will play opposite Sami (Ali Sweeney). For a spoiler
on this, please check out
this story.
Word is Kevin Dobson, best known for playing "Mack" Patrick McKenzie on the
nighttime serial "Knots Landings" is joining "Days". He begins airing on April
1st as the new Mickey Horton! At
the same time, word is his real life son Patrick Dobson
has been cast as a cop who will tangle with Steve, Kayla, Max and Stephanie on
Monday, April 28.
Goings
Judi Evans (Adrienne) posted on her site's
official guest book that her character is being written off in the New Year.
Adrienne and Justin and their boys will be moving to Dubai according to Judi and
the new scripts
The new Soap Opera Digest is confirming that Julie Pinson (Billie) will be
written out of the show in the near future.
As revealed by Martha Madison (Belle) on
her message board in March, she and Brandon Beemer (Shawn) have been
released from their contracts with the show. Belle and Shawn sailed off into the
proverbial sunset with Alina Foley (Claire) on March 24.
Grandpa Shawn (portrayed by Frank Parker) unfortunately died on February 15th
and the character left the show. This is expected to be the last date he'll air
in a new show, though there could be flashbacks of him with an upcoming funeral.
