January 8 -

This post is simply to clear up a few rumors going around the net.

Soaps.com reported that Lauren Koslow (Kate) has not been fired from the show and just signed a new contract.

Kirsten Storms (ex- Belle) will not be returning to the show according to Soaps.com.

After John and Marlena are reunited, look for them to end up going on an adventure much like they did in the days when he was the original Pawn to uncover who he was.

John will learn he is related to Stefano! (I think we can all pretty much guess at this point he's Colleen and Santo's love child)

Rumors are circulating that we may be seeing some old fan favorites come back in the New Year, including Vivian Alamain and Princess Greta Von Amburg!

September 16 -

Christine Fix interviewed Marcus Patrick recently and a contact at DAYS and found out that the rumors racing aroudn the net about his reason for dismissal being the Playgirl shoot. These were simply rumors and had no truth to them.

September 9 -

"Blinky", from our forums, tells us that Cindi Rinehart, who does the soap segment on "Northwest Afternoon," is reporting that Marcus Patrick (Jett) has abruptly left Days! You can watch her show at komotv, its the "September 7th Soap Update" segment. She does not say why he left, and the mention of him leaving is very quick.

Sally, from Matt Ashford's site, chatted with Matt (Jack) after a recent performance of his play "1776." It seems Jack might not be coming back anytime soon, but may be recurring from time to time. Read her chat with Matt here

September 4 -

It looks like Days is going to get some more younger leading hunks! They are casting for Ford Decker, who should begin airing sometime in October. Ford is a 20ish hunk, caucasian, said to be a major recurring character. He's in college, the school's star athlete and in the hottest fraternity. He's a ladies man with a bit of mystery and danger about him. (note: the name or other details could possibly change by time the role is cast)

Speculation: Given Chelsea and Stephanie, who are involved in this whole Salem University storyline this fall, already have enough men in their lives . . . could this guy be for Abby should they be bringing her back after all?

August 30 -

The Matt Ashford Home Page posted an article from the Sacramento Bee in which Matt Ashford gave a recent interview about him currently staring as Thomas Jefferson in the play "1776." In the interview he talked about Jack, who he said is currently in England but will return! Hmmmm, is Jack on his way back to Salem? Back in June at Martha Madison and Brandon Beemer's fan event it was hinted that Ashley Benson could also be returning at some point as Abigail. Note though that there has been no official announcement of either character returning as of yet.

August 17 -

Consider this a spoilerish rumor, since all details aren't known. However, based on a recent casting call, it looks like Days is gearing up for some kind of Salem University story for the fall, probably involving Chelsea and Stephanie.

The show is looking to cast a diverse group of sorority girls. The leader is Morgan (white, southern) and sorority members include Cordy (Asian) and Carmen (either African American or Hispanic). The roles are said to be recurring principal ones.

July 11 -

We hear Steve Blackwood (Bart) was being written off the show permanently. New information seems to indicate that unless something changes, the character of Bart is to be killed off in August.

June 19 -

Rumors have been going around that Drake Hogestyn (John Black) could be leaving the show when his contract is up in about six months. The rumors began after Drake's fan club gathering earlier this month at which he made some comments about his contract and status with the show.

June 7 -

Stefano ordered EJ to impregnate a Brady woman to avenge Colleen, who was carrying his father's child!

May 27 -

Rumor has it that Shawn and Stefano were once friends, but a woman's death started their families' feuding.

May 21-

Days is said to be casting the character of Ilsa, a 25 year old sexy female with a Russian or Romanian accent. The character should show up by the end of June or early July. The name could possibly change, no other info is known. The part is said to be a guest role, so it's probably a short term character and given the name/accent, probably plays into the feud story.

May 17 -

Two casting calls went out recently . . . and it looks like based on them we can guess where the Brady-DiMera feud started! It looks like it stems back to Stefano and Shawn's childhood. The first casting call was for Shawn, age 7-10, recently from Ireland and speaks with an Irish accent. The second was for Stefano, age 7-10, recently from Italy and speaks fluent Italian.

May 10 -

Rumor has it that a family heirloom will play a key part in the upcoming Brady-DiMera feud this summer.

May 5 -

There have been rumors floating around for awhile now that Days was looking to cast Mickey, and even that the show has been trying to get John Clarke to return to the role he originated. Clarke left in 2004 under doctor's orders that he retire. A poster claims John Clarke is actually back taping scenes as Mickey as one of the big surprise returns for fans this summer! Course there is no fact to this.

On the Sami as twins speculation/rumor, some of you wrote in that you felt the word babies was used either as baby's or as to mean the new baby and Will. However the speculation just won't be killed. This week when Sami had her check-up, it was noted that the baby's heart was beating very fast. Paige wrote in to let me know this is a common occurrence in mother's carrying twins! (the fast heartbeat is actually two heartbeats)

Finally, the recent on-air mention of Kim Brady has churned up that old rumor that the show is looking to bring back Kim to reunite all the Brady kids.

May 1-

Since the beginning of Sami's "Who's the Daddy" storyline, there have been rumors and speculation that Sami would be pregnant with twins, one by EJ and one by Lucas (yes it is possible and has been done on soaps before). This past week I got comments and emails once again fueling such speculation. It appears when Sami and Lucas were discussing the baby, the word babies came out of Sami's mouth. Simple blooper or slip of the tongue? (I myself don't have the episode in question recorded anymore to check). Medically, one would think by now Sami would know she was having twins, but that would ruin the shock of it for the audience.

P.S. A poll on this was already done back in January. Then the majority of people were simply tired of the "who's the daddy" storylines.

April 18 -
Thaao (Tony) has made another guestbook entry over at his official site Thaao Penghlis. For the second time Thaao has mentioned Leann's name, which has the rumor mill going that Anna may be returning. Leann Hunley played Anna Brady DiMera from 1982-86. Anna was Roman's first wife, Carrie's mother and Tony's ex-wife. In the 80s Tony and Anna had a fashion business together. Anna was last mentioned by Carrie, who said her mom couldn't come to her and Lucas' wedding as she was busy in Europe getting ready for fashion week. (This rumor has been confirmed as true!)

April 13 -

Two casting calls went out today for new roles on Days. Note: The roles haven't been cast yet so consider them spoilerish rumors for now! Also some soaps have a habit of putting casting calls out for one character with the intention of casting the role of another.

The first role is for Jett Carver, described as an African American male in his mid twenties. He is in the Air Force with Jeremy Horton. This character is set to become involved with Chelsea. He and Jeremy are up to something involving high rollers. (Jett is obviously somehow related to Abe, a nephew?)

The second role is Jeremy Horton, who is the son of Dr. Mike Horton and Robin Jacobs (last heard they were all in Israel). Jeremy is in his mid twenties as well, is described as handsome, dangerous and edgy. He is nothing but trouble. Jeremy is set to get involved with Stephanie Johnson. He also flew planes in Iraq.

April 11 -

Kate and Lucas will both find out what happened the night Sami saved Lucas, but their reactions will be surprising (Please oh please let them do something different for a change and not the same ole same ole!)

With the news that the Brady-DiMera feud will be back this summer, the old spumor that John is Shawn Sr's son with Daphne DiMera is going back around.

Rumor has it that we will get an explanation as to what has happened to Susan and Kristen (unfortunately Eileen Davidson is on B&B now and won't be coming back).

April 4 -

Reporter David Fix, of Soaps.com, spoke with Steve Blackwood (Bart), who told her he and Tony (Thaao Penghlis) and Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) are headed back to Salem this summer!

Word has it that Days has been taping "very surprising scenes" for Sami and Lucas' upcoming wedding. All we can really do at this point is speculate as to what they might be. The biggest surprise at a Sami wedding of course would be that she actually gets married! The latest NBC promos are saying Sami and Lucas will get married in May, so who knows?

Rumors have been going around that Tony DiMera could be making his way back to Salem. He certainly has been mentioned a lot on the show lately! Thaao Penghlis (Tony) posted on his site's guest book that he'd have an announcement after Easter about the "rumors."

March 30 -

Rumors have been floating around that Drake Hogestyn (John) has been holding out for more money, which may be why he hasn't been on screen much. I contacted a show publicist and was told this rumor was false.

March 23 -

Word has it that Shelley Hennig, Miss Teen USA 2004, has been cast to play Steve and Kayla's daughter Stephanie. (This is confirmed true!)

March 15 -

Like father like son, rumor has it that E.J. will kidnap a pregnant Sami from her wedding!

February 27 -

I have received a lot of emails and comments on the news that Judi Evans, who leaves the role of Bonnie this week, is coming back in the role she originated, Adrienne Kiriakis. This info has not yet been officially confirmed.Corday doesn't officially confirm it, but does indicate that he likes the idea. (No Longer A Rumor! Judi Evans is confirmed to be back as Adrienne!)

February 21 -

There are rumors floating around that various actors or actresses from "Passions" will be joining "Days." Likewise there are rumors that some of the characters from "Passions" may be moving to "Days." No truth to this as of yet.

On the rumor about the actors and actresses joining Days, if Passions isn't picked up by another network then yes we can expect them to begin looking for work elsewhere, many probably will end up on other soaps.

As for the characters coming to "Days," due to intellectual property, and the fact that Reilly no longer works on "Days," this one probably won't happen.

January 19 -

updated Rumor has it that the core Brady clan could be completed with the return of Kimberly Brady.

As I previously noted, a while back there were news reports that Patsy Pease, the original Kim, had suffered some major health problems. This Website is a Shane and Kim fansite that deals in videos of the couple. They received word from Patsy who, after many surgeries, is doing much better and would in fact return to Days if asked!

January 6-

Rumor has it that the core Brady clan could be completed with the return of Kimberly Brady. (Side Note: Several years back there were reports around the internet that Patsy Pease, the original Kimberly, had suffered severe health problems. There were never anymore updates on this matter).

December 12 -

With Eileen Davidson being fired from Y&R and EJ said to be Susan/Kristen's son Little Elvis, rumors continue to make rounds that the show may try and snag Eileen back, especially if things don't work out with Joseph Mascolo (Stefano). Not true. She is working on The Bold and the Beautiful.

November 20 -

Word has it that one half of a current Salem couple will be out by years end.

November 17 -
SoapOperaDigest.com is reporting that Eileen Davidson is out at Y&R, spawning rumors she could be on her way back to Salem as Kristen Blake DiMera/Susan Banks - Not true!

November 2-

More reports on Clay Aiken's upcoming stint on Days. This time around rumors have it that Steve helps out Clay, whose car breaks down near Salem. Clay gives Steve and Kayla a private concert as his way to thank them. (Clay does perform a concert for Steve and Kayla, this part is not a rumor.)

November 1

Clay Aiken's special Christmas appearance/concert (on December 22nd) will somehow be ruined by Stefano. (Not true.)

Clay is making an appearance on Days, this is NOT a rumor. However there are varying reports as to what he'll be doing on the show, so I'm putting them in the rumor mill for now.

October 28 -

As previously reported, Clay Aiken will appear on Days on December 22nd to perform a special concert for Steve and Kayla (this part is confirmed and is not a rumor).

October 22 -

Rumor has it that a few more Hortons may return this year for a Christmas cameo.

Rumors are still going around that Joe Mascolo may be returning as Stefano, but no official word yet.

Rumor has it that the show finally plans to reveal who John's real father is! (Happens much later.)
