Actor Update

New! It's another boy for Galen Gering!

Galen Gering and his wife Jenna welcomed their second son, Jensen, around July 17. Dillon's new little brother came in at 10 pounds and 12 oz. Congrats Galen & Jenna!

New! Martsolf/Days Rumor Quashed

Rumors were percolating that Passions Eric Marstolf was heading to Salem as the new Brady Black, but Days has official quashed that buzz. Too bad!

Justin Hartley back in the Smallville fold, while Lindsay finally gets to play full time mom!
We caught up with Justin and Lindsay Hartley during a grown ups' night out at the CW's Television Critics Association party July 18 and the Passions alums seemed to be doing quite well. Justin had just returned that morning from shooting the new season of Smallville in Canada and reveals fans can expect to see Oliver Green/The Green Arrow back as soon as the new season kicks off. With Passions production wrapped, Lindsay has been enjoying life at home with four year old Isabella. This is the longest break she's had since signing onto Passions, let alone since becoming a mom. Next up: She and Isabella will join Dad when he returns to Canada again in a few weeks.

Molly Stanton update!
Molly Stanton hasn't played Charity for years, but we bet she's still got that magic! The actress is currently hard at work filming the sitcom Do Not Disturb. Directed by Arrested Development's Jason Bateman and starring Jerry O'Connell and Brando Eaton, the comedy is slated to premiere in Fox's Wednesday night lineup this fall. Also keep your eye out for her feature, Playboys. The raunchy comedy due out later this year tells the story of a man who wakes from a coma to discover that his once innocent sweetheart is now a famous centerfold!

UPDATE: SOF manager Deanna ran into Molly at a Fox party and she's doing fantastic! She's excited about her new sitcom Do Not Disturb, which is already getting a big network push and has critics buzzing. The down to earth LA girl revealed her character is such a biatch she had to fight to prove she could be a mean girl. Way to prove you've got it in you! SOF can't wait for the new show to hit the airwaves and wishes Molly luck.

Busy alum Donn Swaby checks in!
It's been awhile since we've heard from Passions original Chad Harris, but Donn Swaby recently checked in with SOF manager Deanna Barnert (pictured with Swaby) and boy has he been keeping busy!

First up, Buds for Life hits DVD racks August 5th! Donn stars with old pals Chrystee Pharris (ex Simone #2) and Cathy Doe (Simone #3) in this film he wrote about four actor friends who have relocated to Los Angeles from New York City. He's also back with an impressive cast in Nora's Hair Salon II, reprising his role as the flamboyant hair stylist Delicious. But if music is your bag, Donn currently plays guitar for neo-soul sensation Brig Feltus. He's also writes for Melt Magazine and the Huffington Post!

Busy indeed, but not too busy to send a shout out to his fans: "I will always love and cherish the amazing experience of playing Chad Harris on Passions. In all this time, there are few days that go by where I am not grateful you guys have not forgotten me! Thank you for the e-mails, the letters and the encouraging and supportive words you share with me when you see me out in public. You guys rock! P.S. stop by my myspace or my web site and say H!" (He'll actually respond!)

New! Brooke Kerr's drama slated for release, but where's Brook?
As fans may recall, before Passions Whitney even left the canvas, portrayer Brook Kerr had landed a roll in the newest Alan Ball brainchild on HBO, "True Blood." The dark dramedy is now set for release this fall, but not with Kerr. She was recast after the pilot, with Rutina Wesley stepping into her role, so it's back to the audition circuit for this Passions fave - and we'll be routing for her!

McKenzie Westmore to Dexter!
Rumor confirmed! Passions fave McKenzie Westmore shot an episode of the series Dexter! "It was a really fun part," she writes on her website of her character, Natalie. "I can't go into any details because I don't want to give the surprise away so you will just have to watch!" Stay tuned for airdate info!

Marianne Mellerleile to Days!

The actress who gives life to Passions wacky Norma is heading to days, where she'll play a Salem mail clerk on Tuesday, July 15.

Catch Charles Divins playing it not-so-straight on My Boys!
If you miss Divin's guest gig on the TBS series "My Boys", never fear: The hottie who took Passions Chad Harris out of the closet is playing gay again and again in the repeating episode "Dinner Party". You can either check listings for re-airings OR watch it via internet once the full episode is posted (later in the week).

Melinda Sward set to shoot new movie, with another out on DVD!
Sward may still be on screen as that fantastically nasty Pretty, but she's already got her next gig lined up: She'll play Nina in the Starz film Table For Three, a romantic comedy that tells the story of a single man who invites a seemingly perfect couple to come live in his apartment. It doesn't take long for them to completely dominate his life, sabotaging his chances for romances of his own and making him a perpetual third wheel in his own living space. The film stars Brandon Routh (aka the newest Superman) and Sophia Bush of One Tree Hill fame, along with Jesse Bradford, Jennifer Morrison, Johnny Galecki, and Liza Lapira. It is expected to be released later this year.

As previously reported, Sward can already be seen as Debrah in the film "Wieners", which went straight-to-DVD earlier this month. This road trip comedy about three slacker friends who meet adventure in their very own wiener wagon features the likes of Kenan Thompson, Zachary Levi, Fran Kranz, Darrell Hammond and Jenny McCarthy. For a sneak peak, watch the trailer here.

June 2: Passions Eric Martsolf and Erin Cardillo are keeping it short!
Two of Passions faves are already involved in their next project, working together on the short film Gaydar! In this parody of master/student films like The Karate Kid and Kill Bill, a lesbian who continually falls for straight women enlists the help of The Master, a guide who will teach her the ways of gaydar, thus helping her avoid some of the more painful pitfalls of lesbian love. Karen Wilkens, Emmy nominated Passions director, will be shooting this all over town, and you can get involved!

Gaydar's producers, Myrina films, are currently seeking donations to help fund this and other projects. Those who donate now will be eligible to win tickets to see Cindy Lauper on her True Colors tour or even a producer credit. For more information, please check out their official site.

May 19: Siren call: Brandy Burkhardt hits the big screen
Remember Passions demented mermaid Siren? Two years after being banished to Endora's aquarium, portrayer Brandy Burkhardt has landed a small part in Confessions of a Shopaholic, which is based on Sophie Kinsella's best-selling novel and expected to hit theaters nationwide by Valentine's Day of next year. The hotly anticipated Hollywood flick is currently filming and stars the adorable Isla Fisher, Hugh Dancey, Joan Cusack and John Lithgow.

"Now that the timing is right,  I'm thrilled to be returning to the role of Tina which I've always held near and dear to my heart and I'm looking forward to working once again with all my friends and 'family' at 'One Live to Live.'"

There's always some bizarre drama that plays out every night, and everyone in the cast--I mean, everyone--is great looking, stoned, and/or drunk..."
